Industrial Mechanic / Maintenance Fitter (f/m/d)

Leipzig
Full-time
Permanent employee

Your mission

We are looking for a hands-on builder with a passion for technical challenges in our pilot plant, someone who turns designs into fully functional systems. With us, you don’t build serial products; you build innovation. You are the mechanical backbone of our pilot plant and ensure our reactors perform not only on paper, but in real life.

  • Assembly & Maintenance: Independent assembly, modification, and maintenance of reactors, pumps, and agitators (including couplings and sealing systems). You identify potential issues early and resolve technical problems confidently and pragmatically.

  • Pilot-Scale Plant Construction: Work on pressure, temperature, and vacuum systems at pilot scale. Professional installation and sealing of vacuum and gas lines (stainless steel and polymer piping).

  • Commissioning & Special Tasks: Perform electrical connection work within the scope of the “Electrically Skilled Person for Defined Tasks” qualification (EFffT equivalent). Support commissioning activities and flexibly adapt equipment to new experimental requirements.

  • Workshop Management: Organize spare parts inventory and continuously improve workshop workflows to enable efficient team operations.

Your profile

  • Education: Completed vocational training as an Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Lab Technician, Mechatronics Technician, or comparable qualification.
Alternatively: Electrician with a strong passion for mechanics and metal construction.

  • Additional Qualification: Ideally certified as an “Electrically Skilled Person for Defined Tasks” (EFffT). If not, we will support you in obtaining it.

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial plant construction, maintenance, or pilot plant environments.

  • Working Style: Independent, solution-oriented, and hands-on. You take ownership and enjoy solving practical technical challenges.

  • Language: Willing to communicate in English within an international team. German is a plus but not required. Technical competence matters more than perfect grammar.

Why us?
